Robots’ Intellect 2023 is an autonomous robots’ competition organised by KTU Students’ Scientific Society. This competition for enthusiasts of robotics and folks interested in technological innovations in Lithuania will take place in KTU Campus for the 9th time.

It is one of the biggest autonomous robots’ competitions in Lithuania. Robots’ Intellect events main focus is to encourage the implementation of robotics’ and mechatronics’ solutions.

This event is a great opportunity to showcase not only the technological innovations but also the potential of Lithuanian Universities in the highly competitive advanced technology sector.

Date: 20th of May, 2023.

Location: Studentų g. 50, Kaunas University of Technology.

During the Robots’ Intellect 2023 contestants may compete in 8 different competitions:

  • Main competition is An autonomous robot must find the given spatial figures in an area from the starting position, transport them to a designated area and stack the figures on top of each other (as a tower);
  • Sumo (a fight in the ring between two robots);
  • Folkrace (a rallycross style competition);
  • Candy/checkers picking (robots compete to collect and bring back as much candy/checkers during a limited time);
  • Freestyle (robot is evaluated by the commision, open to all kinds of creations related to robotics);
  • Maze (robot has to find an optimal way to the end of the maze);
  • Laser Tag (moving robot has to aim at the target with as much precision as possible).

We invite everyone, especially those who grew tired of online meetings, to enjoy the real communication in Robots’ Intellect 2023 competitions!

You’ll have an opportunity to not only learn a lot about robotics and innovations in Lithuania, but also to win prizes and compare how different Lithuanian Universities use their potential in advanced technologies.

Robots' Intellect competitions

An autonomous robot must find the given spatial figures in an area from the starting position, transport them to a designated area and stack the figures on top of each other (as a tower).

Competition rules.

A contest, in which a fight between two robots takes place on a round black platform with a white stripe on the edge. Before the fight begins, the judge divides the ring into quarters and the two robots are then put into two of the quarters, facing each other and touching the line with their back wheels. When the judge announces the start of the match, the robots are set to fight. The fight is lost when a robot is pushed out of the ring. The round is won after a robot wins two fights.

Competition rules.

A contest, in which a robot tries to track a line while maintaining high speed. The robot with the fastest finish time wins the contest. The track contains sharp turns and overlapping lines.

Lego line tracking is an easier version of the original contest. It is meant for LEGO robots.

Competition rules.

A rally styled race. Five robots compete on a track for the furthest distance covered within a predetermined time frame. The robot with the most laps finished wins the race.

Competition rules.

The candy collection contest consists of a maze-like track with an area with candy. The robots compete in collecting as much candy as possible in a set time and bringing it all back to the robots’ starting position.

Checkers collection is a new sub-contest, which differs in that the checkers are in two colours – black and red. The robot must bring back as many black checkers, while leaving as much of the red ones behind.

Competition rules.

This contest is for creative expression. participants show off their creations to judges who evaluate them by presentation criteria.

Competition rules.

A new contest, in which a robot must find the most optimal path to the end of the maze on his first run. Next, the robot is set back to the start and must leave the maze as fast as possible using the information it gathered during its first run.

Competition rules.

It is a contest in which robots must, using a prebuilt laser pointer, drive through a track while maintaining a continuous contact on a target with its laser pointer. the robot with the least margin of error while pointing to the target with a laser pointer wins.
